As a singer, guitar- and bassplayer I've been joining a couple of bands and got in touch with many music-styles. But now I started a brandnew thing: "soulroc" - that's my first solo-project. Since April 2007 I'm working on my own songs, recording it with a simple 8-track-machine and a drumcomputer. It's just a start ... I write the music and lyrics, I play every instrument and I sing every single note. The result: handmade pop-, rock- & soulmusic with jazzy influences. Guitars are the basis for all of my songs, which have one common element: my voice. I started writing only english lyrics but after a while I also wanted to express myself in my native language. It's music coming out of my soul and transporting my feelings, my needs, my thoughts straight to the heart of open eared people. Sometimes relaxing sounds, sometimes it rocks. I want to reach a lot of people all over the world with my music. So I need your help: I need people to listen and people to support me. You want to listen? http://www.thepolice-now.de - have fun! ***** ***** Als Sänger, Gitarrist und Bassist war ich schon in vielen Bands und Stilrichtungen unterwegs ... aber jetzt ist Premiere: "soulroc" - das ist mein erstes musikalisches Soloprojekt. Mit minimaler Technik per 8Spur-Rekorder + Drumcomputer entstehen seit April 2007 ständig neue eigene Songs. Alles selbst komponiert, getextet, eingespielt und gesungen. Was dabei rauskommt: Handgemachter, musikalisch vielseitiger Pop, Rock und Soulsound mit ein paar jazzigen Einflüßen. Gitarren sind das tragende Element aller Songs, die eines verbindet: meine Stimme. Anfangs nur englischsprachig, entstehen seit einigen Wochen nur noch deutschsprachige Songs. Das wird auch der soulroc-Sound der entstehenden Liveband werden: lässiger Pop-Sound mit deutschen Texten - live entfacht von feurigen Musikern aller Stilrichtungen. Wobei auch englische Lyrics nicht aus dem Programm verschwinden werden.
