I'd like to meet:What we are looking for?We are looking for the 10 HOTTEST bands in Phoenix. This event is for bands that are label ready. So if you've only played 2 shows and don't have much experience this event is not for you. We are looking for established bands that have a great look, sound (radio- ready and professional), draw and, of course, a good attitude. What is our company about? The A&R Connection is the most reputable music industry resource dedicated to helping artists achieve their goals. We provide direct access to top executives in the music industry, allowing artists to get their music heard. The demand for quality music is phenomenal. We are in constant contact with the top labels across the globe, assisting them in their search for the stars of tomorrow. A&R Connection offers artists the most effective way of marketing their talent. We specialize in showcasing local area talent to the top record label executives in an up close and personal setting. The A&R Connection takes pride in every program that we offer. Our service provides one of the highest response rates available. We are dedicated to the success of aspiring singers, rappers, songwriters, musicians and performing artists. How to audition: First contact Raquel Tolmaire here: raquel@anrnet.com or on myspace Raquel Tolmaire will schedule a time for you to come in and audition. When you come in, you must bring a press packet. A press packet, for those of you who do not know, includes your music on CD, printed press, photos, bio and contact info. Since we audition so many bands in one day, we will audition you by CD in person. The audition will be only 15 min. We ask that all band members attend so we can discuss all the minor details of the showcase and everyone can be involved as much as possible. Is it hard to get in? This event is highly competitive and not all bands are chosen, but after the audition, a representative for The A&R Connections will contact you within a week and let you know your status for the showcase. Only 10 bands are chosen. Where is the audition? March 31st, Marriott Portland City Center,520 S.W. Broadway , Portland, OR. When and where will the showcase be held? May 19th, Satyricon What happens if we are chosen? If you are chosen for this event you will play several songs in front of 5-10 major label A&R's. The band have had lots of success with these events, and the A&R?s always come back because they like our taste in music. After you perform you get to go to the VIP room and meet with the A&R's and hang out as long as you'd like. (Someone will be there to introduce you) What labels will be attending? Capitol, Virgin , Sony/BMG , Warner , Universal , Interscope/ A&M , American , Island Def Jam , Aftermath , Atlantic , Columbia , Lava , Arista , Santuary, J Records AND MORE! This could be you! |
