Enjoy ~~Drawings~~ ___________________ News (December 7) Prolepse symbols: after 10 years using a pirate skull I decided that enough is enough and now Prolepse have new major symbols. Read all about why, how, and who... here ! ___________________ News (october 11) New song added: Escândalo is a song of Prolepse's next album, called "Auto das Alternadeiras". No sound was generated directly on the computer, instead, I decided to capture all sounds and then manipulate them. I found out that this procedure leads to much more interesting sounds then those generated by software. When I have the album finished, I'll speak more about the idea. However, it is nothing more than prostitution. I know it's not an elegant subject but prostitution is an historic inspiration not just for artists, poets and all sort of romantic thinkers, but also a theme for manipulative politicians who use this controversy for elective purposes... and it's an eternal moral and fatal issue. ___________________ News (July 21) The Prolepse song 'Prototipo' is now available on the compilation 'Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense'. This compilation is online for free download. neo-folk.it ___________________ News (March 6) New song added. (note: this song is now available in other place, see next news) This is a demo version. It wasnt meant to be public until the final version with good quality recordings and detailed edition. But I dont know when it will be finish and after all I like the results so, here it is! Prolepse is developing a song with other project Shhh to be part of one compilation of bands-alliances. Everything goes right, as it was sketched, so here it is. Cheers my brothers and sisters, because you are invited! www.prolepse.tk (note: not any more) ___________________ News (august 28) PROLEPSE finishes one new ep called mundo dermo (skin world). The concept of this 15 minutes ep is about the world music. Or, to be more precise, about the fact of the most of the world music (and other folklore) was created and/or changed by the highest power in XIX and XX centuries. These changes aimed to smash down pagan traditions, increase nationalist feelings and so on. The issue is: nowadays a lot of people consume music edited by this industry with the idea and presumption that it puts them, in a way, linked to nature. And even, as it is heard sometimes, it allows them to leave every day life and reach free spirit, etc. What they seem they dont know it is the fact they are consuming strategy (from both the power of the past and the market of today). I have to say that I have nothing against folk and ethnic music; the thing is all about the arrogant assumption that tries to create a sort of mystic union between ignorance and free spirit/nature. |
