British Accents is a radio show on Sunday afternoons on WMFO. Currently the show airs 2-4pm (eastern) on Sundays. The show was created in 1999 on WERS (88.9 Boston) and stayed their until fall 2001, returning to the airwaves the following year at current home WMFO. British Accents is one of only a few shows in the US that is geared toward British and UK-inspired rock, indie and pop. On the show you'll hear Britpop standards (Blur, Pulp, Suede), the NME's latest next big things (The Wombats, The Kooks, Jack Penate), bands from other nations that embody the British sound (Soft, The Wannadies, BRMC) and of course plenty of obscurities, b-sides and album cuts. 3 ways to listen - 91.5 FM, www.wmfo.org webstream and iTunes radio - WMFO is under "public".
