SWEET PAPA DAVE: GUITAR AND VOCALS Sweet Papa Dave (AKA David Hart) was born in St. Paul,MN and was raised in the deep back woods of Grand Portage,MN. His family had no running water and heated and cooked with wood. As a child he grew up listening to Huddy Ledbetter, Woody Gutherie, Pete Sieger and Jim Kweskin's Jug Band on the old family phonograph. Sweet Papa Dave has been performing his music from coast to coast for more than 24 years. He has had the pleasure of performing with great artists like Jimmy"fast fingers" Dawkins, Miss Alberta Adams, Big Walter Smith, Miss Lavelle White, Chico Chism and RJ Mischo to name a few. His last CD self titled "Sweet Papa Dave and The Private Reserve" recieved world wide recognition. His new CD; Sweet Papa Dave "Hootin and a Hollerin", came out in Nov. of 2007. It features 12 origanal tunes of blues, folk and country and one cover of Huddy Ledbetter's "Relax Your Mind". It brags an all-star cast of; Sweet Papa Dave on guitar and vocals, Mark Lodermeier on drums, Mike Zelany on up-right bass, Greg Langlois on guitar,Paul"Stretch Rocker" Diethelm on guitar,John Hammond on guitar and the lovely Adara Thomas on back-up vocals. MARK LODERMEIER DRUMS Mark was born in Tacoma,Washington. He started playing music with his father,a drummer with many bands including Les Brown and Stan Kenton. Mark started playing professionally in 1969 and has been with many groups including Aaron, Vintage, Southbound, Whitelightning, Ripplemeade,Willy Diggs,and Sweet Papa Dave and The Private Reserve.Mark has recorded 4 CD's. After playing drums for over 38 years Mark feels he has "found his groove" with "The Sweet Papa Dave Band". He and Sweet Papa Dave have been performing music together since 1998. Known as "The Honey Man", Mark is an avid beekeeper. We also like to call him "The Metronome". KEITH MANSKE: BASS Growing up just outside of White Bear Lake, Minnesota Keith says his first musical influence was The Beatles. In 7th grade he learned how to play both the trumpet and guitar. He started playing bass when he joined the band "Beggers Opera" in 1969.After a few years Keith bought some farm land near the Blanchard Dam on the Mississippi River and took some time out to raise his two sons and farm the land. Keith is excited to join in The Sweet Papa Dave Band and dive in full steam ahead back into the music scene.He brings a love and passion for the music with him! PAUL SINGH: GUITAR Paul was born in Brainerd MN and raised in Saint Cloud MN.He picked up the guitar at the age of 18 and has been playing ever since. He joined into the band "Shady Breed" and also has played with the band "Karolus" for about 7 years.Going for his masters in psychology,Paul is a thinker and his blues guitar licks flow full of feeling. We are all proud to have him as part of The Sweet Papa Dave Band!!! |
