BIOGRAPHY 'Aurora Low' is the music project created by Scott McKay. The project was initiated by Scott in late 2006 under the name of 'The Northern Lites' with the name being changed to 'Aurora Low' in September 2007 to reflect a new direction. Scott has been making music since age 9 and played briefly with a local Mansfield band in his late teens. His intention on leaving the band was to continue making music on his own on a more low-key scale which he has done for a number of years, but now is the time to unleash the sonic brilliance of 'Aurora Low' on the unsuspecting world. The music created by 'Aurora Low' is not intended to be 'cool', original or fit into any type of genre or scene, it is just good music which stands on it's own and if the world likes it then that's a bonus. 'Aurora Low' is presently a one-man band but Scott is currently writing and demoing new material with a view to recording and expanding 'Aurora Low' into a full band with ambitions. 'Aurora Low' is in it's early stages but may be recruiting for members to complete the band in the near future so watch this space! A luminous atmospheric phenomenon appearing as streamers or bands of light sometimes visible in the night sky in northern or southern regions of the earth. It is thought to be caused by charged particles from the sun entering the earth's magnetic field and stimulating molecules in the atmosphere. 2. The dawn. low 1a. Having little relative height; not high or tall. b. Rising only slightly above surrounding surfaces. c. Situated or placed below normal height: a low lighting fixture. d. Situated below the surrounding surfaces: water standing in low spots. e. Dead and buried. f. Cut to show the wearer's neck and chest; décolleté: a low neckline. 2. Near or at the horizon: The sun is low in the sky.
