| superstar record producer and singer K-ROC, son of the jazz/blues singer, keyboardist and recording star Willie mabon (chess records/MCA records) is no stranger to the music industry. He was born and raised on Chicago's southside surrounded by the sounds of rhythm & blues greats :willie dixon, memphis slim, st louis jimmy, Eddie boyd, Big Bill Broonzy, Roosevelt sykes, Sunnyland slim and Muddy Waters. k roc was inspired by going to the studio with his father recording with some of the superstars like Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones, Willie Dixon, and producers of different record labels. K roc began singing gospel at the age of seven with the church choir and he continued to hone his talent by showcasing in Chicago area. writing and producing original materials as he sought a major in music at columbia college.
