Daniel Irigoyen (born Argentina January 1950) has been into music all his life.
He started his career playing the drums, guitar, and harmonica in his early teens, and in 1969 he decided to pursue his love of singing with the Argentine band Los Mentales. At that time he was one of the pioneers of "Rock Nacional", the first rock music movement, worldwide, using Spanish lyrics.
He developed his personal "raw power" and strong stage presence performing with many bands in the last 30 years, and at the present time in his own Ensemble.

In 1997 he releases his first solo album "Taking Care of The Memory" (Aliado LC3796) with musicians from Cuba, Brasil, Germany and Argentina which consists of 5 songs featuring Daniel's emotive singing and 2 pieces which display his unique gift for rhythm and melody. The most important and impulse-setting element in his way of singing is rhythm.

His musical repertoire extends from "Argentinian Rock", Funk, Jazz to Ethno and Latin-Fusion.

As narrator of sensitive prose, Daniel has published the book “A UN PASO DEL CIELO” (Confesiones de un superviviente) "A STEP FROM HEAVEN" (Confessions of a survivor), pages melt essay, poetry and memory. written in Spanish, whose literary aesthetics covers different topics. Romanticism in contemporary wrapped chronic or documentation emerging on a past that left their footprints fleeting deep.

LATIN - SOUL STUFF as singer, songwriter, drummer and percussionist.

Daniel Irigoyen plays Latino Music in a contemporary way. Meaningful lyrics and Latinamerican rhythms are only two aspects of this fascinating musician. He also puts his powerful voice to work to convey his heartfelt message to his listeners. You will love the dominant rhythmical element (also noticable in the way the voice leads you through the songs) if you have a faible for Latin-American flair. Through the transparency in the recording Daniel Irigoyens shows us exactly how sounds and grooves come together to create certain impulses. All the percussion and drum arrangements sparkle in a really well planned manner in this musical combination between Argentine Rock, Soul, Jazz and Latino-Fusion. They are partly playful, but also take you by surprise, and above all, they are performed in an intelligent way, successfully creating a certain tension on a high quality level of musical capability. Daniel Irigoyen certainly has more to offer than just music and poetry!

Influences:

I have hundreds of influences. I have been in close contact with numerous artists of word and sound from various cultures, which over the years have helped me cultivate my own way.But not only those well-known performers but also the wisdom of the untrained as well as some unknown geniuses are still inspiring me to continue expressing - more or less clearly - what I think and feel. And those influences may show up or not, depending on where you are hiding watching the world. It is said that if you affect someone, it is because at some point in your life you were affected by someone. For me it is utterly important to be attentive to the call of the soul to have a critical concept of reality while at the same time being receptive to the good things that happen all around me.We are in transit toward an unknown destiny. We are healed by dreaming about a destination we cannot know. We are creatures of light and darkness, enlightenment and endarkenment.A human being is a citizen of two kingdoms: THE HERE AND NOW, and THE THERE AND THEN. We did not create the world. We are not in control. Tragedy, injustice, and imperfection provide the tasks that give human life purpose. IN CONCLUSION of the making of rituals there is no end. Everything sacred -your soul included-moves in a circle with nor any final conclusion. We are in this world to wonder and be responsible for each other, something difficult to achieve in practice, but not impossible if we trust in the heart The LUMINOUS DARKNESS.Tengo centenares de influencias.
