| Profusion was heavily influenced by bands like Cigar, Rise Against, Bad Religion, Strung Out, Lagwagon, The Killing Tree, Minor Threat, The Descendents, Pantera, Slayer, and The Refused. They loved punk rock and they loved metal, so they did a little of both! They loved to play live and have fun, and it was evident when catching one of their shows. Profusion played the same for 20 people as they would do for 200 people--with everything they had. There were no gimmicks to the band; no standing around and no fashion show, just an intense and energetic live rock and roll show. Profusion played with well known acts like Strung-Out, Ignite, Authority Zero, Cigar, Agent Orange, The White Kaps, The Smut Peddlers, Western Waste, 2 Cents, Bargain Music, and 1208 at venues like the House of Blues, The Whiskey, The Knitting Factory, The Viper Room, and the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach.
