Microlux was born from Fabio Colasanti and Linda Edelhoff meeting in 2004, when they started composing their first lyrics, characterised by their simplicity, melodic sounds and easy listening style, which they created by using just an acoustic guitar and a few electronic elements. Subsequently, the acoustic sound of the electronic duo came to an end, and they constructed their repertoire with just the help of electronics, conserving their sterile compositive structures, which made them stand out as they adopted a similar style in sound to that of northern Europe. The artistic path of Linda Edelhoff, singer and co-writer of the Microlux lyrics, is rich in important events. It is worth noting, actually, that she has participated in major national shows, with victories at festivals such as "Arezzo Wave '97", "No Playback '98" and the finals of the "Recanati" festival of '98. Fabio Colasanti has participated as bass player in some projects which had a form of postpunk sound. From '97 to '99, he created his first band, "The Paxy's Dolls" strongly characterised by the unrefined sound of the New Wave in Seattle, and by the grunge movement which was revolutionised by the international post punk scene. After the band split, he dedicated himself to visual art, and participated in various exhibitions and events with his installations and video installations, in which he put together images to music, with the aid of computers. It is during these years that his knowledge in music matured. Currently the Microlux duo is finishing the production of their new demo, "weisse."

Il progetto Microlux nasce dall’incontro di Fabio Colasanti e Linda Edelhoff che nel 2004 iniziano a comporre i loro primi brani caratterizzati da semplicità di scrittura, linearità melodica ed asciutte sonorità, utilizzando per questo solo una chitarra acustica e pochi elementi elettro-noise. Successivamente il duo elettronico priva il suo sound dell’elemento acustico, costruendo i suoi arrangiamenti con il solo ausilio dell’elettronica pur conservando le strutture compositive asettiche che lo contraddistingue, assumendo una connotazione stilistica molto vicina alle sonorità nordeuropee. Il percorso artistico di Linda Edelhoff, voce e coautrice dei testi del progetto Microlux, è ricca di tappe fondamentali per la sua formazione musicale e degne di nota, infatti, partecipa alle maggiori manifestazioni nazionali raggiungendo, in particolare, le vittorie dei festivals "Arezzo Wave '97", "No Playback '98" e le finali del "Festival di Recanati '98". Fabio Colasanti arriva da varie collaborazioni per alcuni progetti di forte matrice postpunk come bassista. Negli anni che vanno dal 97 al 99 crea la sua prima band “The Paxy’s Dolls” caratterizzata fortemente dal sound grezzo della new wave di Seattle e dal movimento grunge che in quel periodo rivoluzionò la scena internazionale del post punk rock. Dopo lo scioglimento della sua band, si dedica all’arte visuale con numerose partecipazioni a mostre ed eventi con le sue installazioni e video installazioni in cui accosta le immagini alla musica servendosi dei computers, ed è proprio in questi anni che matura il suo linguaggio sonoro. Attualmente il duo Microlux sta portando a termine la produzione del suo primo demo “weiße”.
