Biographie : Mehdi, Tom et Valentin, tous les trois autodidactes et débutants, commencent la musique en jouant dans des groupes de reprises le 21 Juin 2006, mais très vite, ces trois meilleurs amis ont l'envie de se retrouver seuls pour former un groupe. Nous sommes à Courbevoie en Novembre 2006, Orphee's Cry est né. La moyenne d'âge du groupe est alors de 17 ans. Ils commencent les compositions et les concerts, et deux mois après leur formation, ils font leur premier concert où seront joués leurs trois premiers morceaux. (Grey Meadow, Disillusion, What If) Ils ont depuis enchainés les concerts en région parisienne, ce qui leur a permis d'acquérir une expérience scenique et un public assidu. Lors de l'un de ces concerts, ils se font repérer par Denis Thomas. Celui ci, très interessé par OC, s'associe à Guillaume Moyne (Les Prods d'en Bas) et leur propose d'enregistrer un EP. Orphee's Cry rentre donc en studio en Avril 2008 pour enregistrer son premier EP 4 titres produit par Les Prods d'en Bas qui sera commercialisé et sortira le 19 Juin : This Is The OC EP, contenant les titres Kisses From Paris, Broken Red Chair, Feather et Nymphomaniac. Parallèlement, en Août 2007 le groupe participe au Tremplin Fallenfest et jouera successivement au Capitol Studio Paris, au Trabendo et à la Cigale. Lors de la finale à la Cigale le 28 Juin 2008, Orphee's Cry finit 1er de la catégorie Jeunes Talents et 2ème sur l'ensemble du tremplin soit plus de 800 groupes ! MERCI A TOUS ! Biography : In November 2006 in Courbevoie, France, three best friends : Mehdi Major, Valentin Gloriod and Tom Darras formed Orphee’s Cry (Average age 17) Although all three were still beginners and self-taught soon enough they started to write their own music and work on what would soon become Orphee's Cry's own sound. Two months after the band's formation, they played their first gig with the three songs Grey Meadow, Disillusion, What If and some covers. Since then they have gained solid stage experience and fans with a series of gigs in Paris and neighbouring parts of France. In April, Orphee's Cry was in the studio to record their first 4 song EP : This Is The OC EP produced by Les Prods D'en Bas which contains Kisses From Paris, Broken Red Chair, Feather and Nymphomaniac and which will be out on June 19th. In 2008, Orphee's Cry performs successively at Capitol Studios, Trabendo and La Cigale for the Fallenfest festival. During the final at La Cigale, Orphee's Cry finished 1st of the Young Talents category and 2nd of the entire festival which represents more than 800 bands ! THANKS TO ALL OF YOU !
