About Me

It look me a long time to grow into my own skin. I grew up in a working class house with devout Catholic parents. I went to Catholic school from 1st to the end of high school. I think this is what shapped me into the person I am today.Being working class in an upper middle class school lead to a lot of awkwardness. I always had clothes that were one year out of style. I would get home hair cuts and never had all the right toys. This left me alianated, depressed, and isolated. Then when I was 10 years old I discovered punk rock. At first I would go to local shows and then when my few friend's older bothers were able to drive started to attend show in both NYC and Trenton. I became so wrapped up with underground music (other bands like Nine Inch Nails, the Smiths, Joy Division, and Stone Roses are included) that I found a way to channel my anger, alianation, depression and isolation. Then in high school I developed a form of childhood temporary epilepsy and was pushed further into my own world of music with my favorite band being Joy Division at this time. After high school I went to college where I found more like minded people. It was here that I first started to feel comfortable with who I was. But I was very isolated and depressed. I could understand why the world was the way it was. I also meet my friend Jeff who I can say had a positive impact on my life. One of only a couple of people outside my family that had this effect on me.Upon graduation from college I started to work at a tattoo magazine where I discoved my love of the writen word. I always loved reading books and the knowledge I recieved from them but I became comfortable with writing my own ideas. When I reached a point where I felt I could go no further with Art and Ink, I moved to Los Angeles to experiance new things and try my hand as a writer with hopes that I could get script turned into a movie. It was here that I meet the other person that had great impact on my life. Still not feeling 100% comfortable with myself and being out of work I was content to wallow in my self made prison. Marin, thankfully, pointed out that I was a missrable person and that I impossed this on people around me. I changed my living enviroment, my job and some of my friends. I started to see the beauty in everyday life and not the shit. It is not like the shit isn't there or I am ignoring it but I am doing what I can to change the world by being positive and changing the wrongs that I can.So with that all said I finally, at the age of 30, grown into my own skin and happy with who I am and the world around me. I have to thank Jeff for letting me see my talent and Marin for helping me see the goodness in the world and taking the figurative gun out of my mouth. I also have to thank my working class family. Weather it was dad on the picket line or mom cleaning rich people's houses we were always there for each other. I would not be were I am today without their support and moral guidance! But these days I am a writer. I write short stories, scipts and poems. I have music in my head as it gets me through the day when life throws monkey wrenches at me. I am happy! I walk on the sunny side of the street and smike until my face hurts (unles I listen to Mr Bush!I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
