| I am a Spoken Word artist. I have lived the life as a spoken word artist for almost a year now and I love it. I first hit the Spoken Word stage on September 15, 2007 at Shairi's Spit That Poetry and I was hooked. I have been writing poetry since 1980. This is my first time releasing it in the wind. I am an entrepreneur of a company of SMBII Entertainment and SMBII Apparel. I have been in the entertainment business since 1988. I started my clothing line in May of 2006. I have also embarked on a mission called Divine Intervention Spoken Word Cafe'in February, 2008 where "We Speak Life!" This venue is held once a month and it started at Elokim Ministries (Church of the Apostolic Revival), 1207 Angier Avenue, Durham, NC 27702 (Banquet Hall). Thanks Bishop!! We have already featured Dasan Ahanu, Trin-A-Thoughtz, Sean Ingram, Tim jackson, Church, P.o.E.T. The Next Revolution, Potts (Yes Potts. Don't sleep), S.L.A.P., Regina Johnson, Phyllis Wiley, Bles Jones, Develle, and many other poets and music artists. You know I can't forget yours truly, E.T.R.N.L. Poet. This is only one of the hottest events in the Triangle so come out and enjoy.
Spoken word has been a desire of mine for years until I was given a chance at Shairi's. Thanks Monica Daye. A big shout out to Dasan Ahanu who is one of the greatest poets in contemporary history. Church, thanks for beating me in my first battle and being engrafted into the family. To all of the spoken word soldiers bringing this to the forefront and making this international and worldwide, you've inspired me. To Rhonda Hatton (The Apostolic Diva), my sister in Christ, you are untouchable. You got skills sis. Keep doing your thing.
Divine Intervention left papa's nest in April and moved to the mainstream in May at Ideas Coffee House. Thanks for the spot Mac. The event was so successful that we had no room to hold the event there anymore, so we moved the event to the Blue Coffee Cafe'. You are much appreciated Gwen.
Divine Intervention is continuously growing. We will be partnering with major orginizations in the near future for a larger event. Look for a community wide event in the near future. We are also scheduled to host the CD release party for national Gospel recording artist, LeJune Thompson in September.
I am working on a CD which is scheduled to release late August, early September entitled, "In The Fire", featuring the hit song, "We Speak Life" and remixes 1 and 2.
I have also been a featured artist on The Mecca Lounge, Da Hitmen, Jaxx, and Synaptix, national radio shows. God has been good and people are starting to experience the life-changing message of E.t.r.n.l. Poet nation wide. God Bless!!
