Kauan started in February 2005 and up to this moment had changed their name and genre - they started as a folk-black band but now they have moved to the direction of folk-doom. The main man in Kauan has always been Anton Belov. In September 2006 Lubov Mushnikova joined the band as a violin player. The band has worked with other people as well but none of them eventually fit the band's conception. During the recording of their first album some session members were invited to play cello and saxophone. At the moment Kauan have one album, "Lumikuuro", which was released in the summer 2007 by BadMoodMan Music, a sub-label of Solitude Productions. BUY "Lumikuuro" HERE Solitude Prod.
