They've been called "the worlds only industrial metal jam band" and "the most original band in Michigan." Who are these mysterious psychedelic warlords? It can only be Kalamazoo's HARVYST. HARVYST have been creating post-apocalyptic screamscapes, tranquil ambience, and industrial improv since 1999, and since 2005 with the current lineup. The HARVYST sound consists of extreme metal crossed with industrial, with a healthy dose of improvisational jamming, and promises to provide a unique listening experience. HARVYST's second demo, Winter, was picked up and released by AcidVictim Records in 2005. In 2006, up and coming label Records of Voztik , encouraged by the strength of Winter and HARVYST's dynamic and entertaining live show, offered to release the next recording. HARVYST is currently holed up in Zypotic Studio recording their first full-length album, "Lysergency Resolute," and continue their aural assault on venues around the Midwest and beyond.
