| THE MODE ARE A 4 PIECE INDIE/ROCK BAND, WHO FORMED IN 2005 IN THE GREAT MUSICAL CITY OF GLASGOW. IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME THE BAND HAVE NOTCHED UP 100..s OF GIGS IN SOME OF THE BEST VENUES AROUND THE UK. THIS INCLUDES SUPPORT SLOTS WITH TOURING BANDS INCLUDING THE SUPERB JIM NOIR, THE VIEW,LITTLE MAN TATE, THE DEADBEATS, ALI LOVE, STONEY, SPECIAL NEEDS, THE HARRISONS, THE HOLLOWAYSTHEIR UNIQUE SOUND HAS ATTRACTED A LARGE FOLLOWING SINCE THEIR FIRST GIG IN FEBRUARY 2005. SINCE THAT DATE THEY HAVE PLAYED IN VENUES SUCH AS KING TUTS WAH WAH HUT IN GLASGOW, THE CAVERN IN LIVERPOOL AND JABEZ CLEGG IN MANCHESTER. WITH SOME MAJOR GIGS LOOMING THIS IS SURELY GOING TO BE A MASSIVE YEAR FOR THIS VERY TALENTED AND VERY POPULAR UP AND COMING BAND.THE MODE HAVE ALSO HAD SOME GREAT REVIEWS AND PLENTY OF AIRPLAY ON LOCAL AND NATIONAL RADIO STATIONS ONE BEING ON XFM SCTLAND WITH POPULAR DJ AND SAVIOUR FOR NEW BANDS JIM GALLETLY.
AFTER JUST THREE MONTHS THE MODE RELEASED THEIR DEBUT EP "THE LINE" AND IT WENT ON TO SELL MORE THAN 1000 COPIES. THAT ITSELF WAS A GREAT ACHIEVMENT FOR A NEW UNSIGNED BAND. AS THEY CONTINUE TO WRITE SOME STOMPING TUNES IT SURELY WONT BE LONG BEFORE SOMEBODY PICKS THEM UP. THEY HAVE ALREADY LABEL INTEREST FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE BORDER SO IT MIGHT BE SOONER RATHER THAN LATER. DEBUT SINGLE RUSSIA WAS RELEASED IN MAY AND THAT AGAIN SOLD QUITE A FEW COPIES. THE MODE WILL BE DOING THEIR FIRST FULL UK TOUR IN 07 SO HAVE A LOOK AT THE GIGS SECTION FOR DATES AND VENUES........................
