Starting off as a 5 piece in band, but about a year ago The Front decide to chance style and lose 1 of the guitarist to make the push, and haven’t looked back ------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------- In the summer months the band have played some local festivals getting live gig play on live on air on west fm (ayrshire) and Jim Gellatly show X-Poser on XFM Scotland picked the band as his cadet band on Monday the 21st of august playing “why” ------------------------------------------------------------

Music:Member Since: 8/17/2005Band Website: xfmuploaded.co.uk/thefront Band Members: NEAL MCHARG (BASS) ARAN MCHARG (GUITAR) KRIS GRIMES (VOCALS) MARTYN LYNCH (DRUMS) Influences: primal scream, the charlatans, the libertines, oasis, the clash, sex pistols Sounds Like: review by dead earnest----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -----The Front were supercharged and ready to rocket. Playing a hi-energy brew of punk ’n’ roll, they fired off songs that exhibited elemnts of everything from The Pistols and Bowie to Discharge and Oasis, with hints of Angelic Upstarts and Sham 69 in between. Tight and powerful yet strong and dirty, theirs was a set that smoked as the taut lead vocals hurled out the songs to a backdrop of guitar fire and rhythm thunder. Mixing almost sleaze-rock with seventies punk, they took no prisoners and playeed a blinder. Record Label: Diffusion Records Type of Label: Indie |
