About Me

My Name Is Alex Wire. I play the bass with a band called the Broken Mask. I love dark music and I study archeology in search of signs and answers about our past. My first approach with music was when I was twelve, when I listened to "The Blue Mask" by Lou Reed for the first time by chance. This made me so curious. In the years later, after feeding myself with Syd's Pink Floyd and Bob Dylan, a friend of mine, a real dark one, let me know the world of Goth Rock and New Wave. I've been loving such bands as Bauhaus, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Cure and Joy Division since then . Ian and & Co. impressed me deeply from within. Nowadays I can have fun discovering and appreciating interesting modern sperimental and indie rock bands. Welcome to my page. Enjoy it.

Da allora, adoro band come i Bauhaus, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Cure and Joy Division.

"Decades" by Joy Division

"Here are the young men, the weight on their shoulders,
Here are the young men, well where have they been?

We knocked on the doors of hells darker chamber,

Pushed to the limit, we dragged ourselves in,
Watched from the wings as the scenes were replaying,
We saw ourselves now as we never had seen.
Portrayal of the trauma and degeneration,
The sorrows we suffered and never were free.

Where have they been?
Where have they been?
Where have they been?
Where have they been?

Weary inside, now our hearts lost forever,
Cant replace the fear, or the thrill of the chase,
Each ritual showed up the door for our wanderings,
Open then shut, then slammed in our face.

Where have they been?
Where have they been?
Where have they been?
Where have they been?"
