| Nell McGhee, I am a South Florida native and started singing in the church my uncle Pastored at the age of 15. I am proud to tell you that part of whats in me is my earthly daddy and mother. My dad was a singing man and my mother has a lovely voice too. I would love to listen to them sing and thought to myself Im going to sing too. I am known by many in the Miami community, I attend 93rd Street Community Baptist Church, under the dynamic leadership of the Rev. Dr. Carl Johnson, and minister song in the various choirs. I sang with choir sister and radio personality, Rev. Marietta Freeman of WMBM Gospel Station, AM1490. In addition, many know of me as I worked at Miamis largest employer, the Miami-Dade School Board and with the children of Dade County. I am no stranger to scriptures such as by His stripes I am healed if I could just touch the hem of his garment Is there a balm in Galiade Bless it be the name of the Lord the blood of Jesus or Nevertheless not as I will by His will be done When I was faced with the news of having breast cancer I felt it was the end of my life as I knew it but God showed me it was just a new beginning for me to do it in a new way. I knew that if I turned my face towards Gods face, and believed in his word that I would one day live to testify of the Goodness of Lord! I now am a seven year cancer survivor, and thank the Lord everyday, because if he had not been on my side I would not be here today. When you look at me you are looking at a testimony in motion. I have worked on the recording projects with Gospel Recording Artist Zoretta Hopkins and the group called Joy lending my gift to the songs title More Than I Deserve and Benedict Us on the CD titled Beautiful Rain. The summer of 2007 I was highly requested to minister in song for the Westside Childrens Feeding Ministry, featuring Michael English of Curb Records, and Gloria Larson of Narrow Door Records. In addition I blessed the Trans denominational Organization for Christian Women, Aglow International Retreat participants and I have recorded with upcoming Gospel Rapper Disciple on his CD entitled Deep Calledth Unto Deep the song Glory. I am currently singing with George Lopez Promotion organization/Kaleah Sounds who has collaborated on various South Florida projects and I am also in the studio working to release songs that will bless the soul cause foot stomping hands to rise in praise and mouths to shout GLORY HALLELUJAH ! ! ! ! |
