| London based RnB Songstress Shelan is due to release her debut album in 2008, Shelan has been working with some of the most talented urban producers in the UK, co-producing, writing and recording her forthcoming debut. Shelan sights her strength and love in writing where she has written top lines for Universal music with some of the biggest people in the music industry. Having a voice and style of her own, it is important now to Shelan to let the world feel her talent on a personal level.
"Im really excited about this album in that i think it epitomises my lifetime of experiences, the personal journey that i have travelled, in terms of my spirituality, sensuality, sexuality and deep emotion. I explore the different phases of love and touch on my faith as a healing source of heartbreak. I just absolutely love music and I am influenced by so much, having been a DJ and a dancer in the past, I have a special love for music to dance to, but Im also quite an emotional person so I love writing ballads and slow jams too - anything with emotional expression" With Shelan coming from the streets with a DJ/club background of hiphop, soul, reggae, gospel, funk, jazz, house and rare groove, the emphasis is on traditional feel good rnb, with influences from across the ages and generations, real emotions, and great vibes - so go and plug in your tannoys and crank up the volume and the bass - this ones for the hardcore RnB headz! expect to see some promos and hot club remixes of the album material soon - more details on the release dates and availability of the album will appear on this space shortly! |
