www.superock.it - label - dj set - live - merchandise and more!!! Born in 1990 as Pollution Mass, in 1994 the band changed its name in Pollution and suddenly became quite popular in the Italian underground scene thanks to "Darklight" demo tape, recorded and released in the same year. Reviews were pretty good and "Darklight" sold more than two thousand copies, not bad for that period, not bad for a simple demo tape! People liked Pollution and really supported us like they would do with very popular bands. Followed a series of live shows - not really a tour - in the north west area, but also in Florence and Rome. During the next months Pollution received offers from a couple of metal labels, too but always refused to sign contracts wich would have put their music and band image in the hands of some incapable producers whose only aim was to make money out of people's work. At that time line-up (showed in picture) was: Andrea (vocals), Edo (guitars), Ale (guitars), Max (bass guitars), Ernesto (drums). In 1995 Andrea and Ernesto left the band thus being replaced by Massimo (vocals) and Sergio (drums) from a local brutal death band named Chrysalis, yet the new members were not exactly what Pollution were looking for and very soon the band split up. One year later Edo, Ale and Max with the help of Anastasios (singer of the Greek Macabre Operetta) gave birth to Thuban, a sort of gothic metal project that did not last more than one year due to continuous fights between members and the constant lack of a good drummer. In 1997 Thuban released a cd named "Zeitgeist" and played live with Opera IX, Hellstorm and other bands at the first Black Celtic Summit in Biella. That was the first and only live appearance of the band, as a few months later the Thuban project was forgotten. POLLUTION TODAY After more than thirteen years far from the scene Pollution are currently working on some new tracks for upcoming band reunion cd, hopefully within 2008. The search for new members who will replace the two of us who have decided to give up playing was completed successfully.
