| Originally from Chattanooga, TN I have been living is Athens since 2004, working on D.M.A. (Doctor of Musical Arts) at UGA. I will be finished this year with concentration in Saxophone Performance, and a minor in Musicology/Ethnomusicology.I'm currently playing with Bryan J. Howard in his band "The Heap Project" (myspace.com/gaheap) (which I'm very excited about) and "I am a Lava Lamp" (myspace.com/iamalavalamp). I have also been playing jazz with a variety of different people in Athens, usually under the name "the Peabodies."Others I have performed with incluede the UGA Big Band, the UGA Salsa Band, and Classic City Jazz. I am also currently a member of the Fischer Saxophone QuartetIn the last year or so, I have recorded studio sessions for a variety of people- Sci-Fu Tommy Wedge Casper and the Cookies Bill Doss and many others...I am hoping to use this page as a resource to make contacts in the music world and hopefully to develope good relationships with musicians and producers that need professional saxophone work, be it live, on stage, or in the studio. | |

Influences: Classical Music- Eugene Rouseau, Kenneth Fischer, Camille Olin,Jazz, and popular music- John Coltrane- right now the One up/One Down live recording. Wayne Shorter- anything with his recent quartet, brian blade, john patituci, danilo perez. Charles Mingus- Cornell 1964, Duke Ellington- w john coltrane. Metheny Meldhau-Annies bittersweet cake. Miles- the Cellar Door.beck, the roots, the meters, ECM label, all play a part in want I listen to and choose to play myself- but Coltrane and those listed above are the core of my interest.
