| Design is my life, my passion! I think it is an inborn talent -just luck. Some people can learn languages; some throw a ball. Most people have something. My talent is designing( being able to think beyond the box). The gift of being able to seduce, shape,and perhaps more importantly, evoke an emotional response is an awesome blessing. I am a third generation designer; and it has been my business for over 16yrs,(click on to see website) Richard Scott Home Collection . Faux painting, designing furniture, home staging, custom window treatments, custom bedding, seasonal decorating(Christmas,etc.), decorating for weddings, party's, themed events and the conception to completion of clients entire estate including landscaping. It is all at once the most overwhelmingly frustrating and exasperating task and the most joyous and rewarding experience to make a clients home out of an empty space! The space reflect the aspirations and personalities of each client, ranging from white walled minimalist to worlds of long ago. No two projects
are alike. The client owns not only the inside of the home but, in most applications, the outside as well. The space is theirs. What ever the design style may be, let the inside and the outside have the same RHYTHM!!! Traveling during my youth to visit and studying the designs/ decorating process of such places as the New Port mansions, the Biltmore Estate, the Gold Coast Estates, Hudson River Estates, the Mississippi River Plantations, the Palm Beach Estates, castles and palaces through out Europe, and many century old cathedrals through out the world have fueled my emotions about design in many many ways. The grand scale, attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the materials used will never be duplicated again. This alone demonstrates the timeless design and therefor is my reason for staying away from trendy design patterns that come and go. I am a member of A.S.I.D.(American Society of Interior Designers), Certified Draperies and Window Coverings Professional and I have also studied TV & Commercial Acting (The Maile School, Orlando; under Kevin O'Neill, Ellen Jones and Al Hubbs). I am pursuing my dream of becoming apart of a new and inspiring HOME TV DESIGN SHOW. As designer/host/cohost of this high style design/lifestyle show series, I will be able to use my knowledge and extensive expertise of history, culture, materials, proportion, color, texture and light to entertain and educate a new generation.
