| Brief Introduction The humble town of Memphis is full of musicians and self-proclaimed music aficionados. It is a music town where music can often be taken for granted as it's found in every corner bar. Few rock bands are granted longevity in Memphis. Streetside Symphony never minded being an anomaly. Jeremy Stanfill (Vocals,Keys,Guitar), Chris Mitchell (Guitars), John Emerson (Drums) have been playing music together in different forms and facets since they were teenagers. A long standing favorite in the Memphis rock community, the band has never been afraid to follow their craft and the strange, genre altering paths where it has led them. Their influences vary from the vintage soul sounds that still haunt the streets of Memphis, to the mind bending power that is Pink Floyd, and everything in between. In 2007 Streetside Symphony gained the attention of Atlanta producer Rick Beato. A few months later, they entered the studio to record The Curse, to be released on February 29th, 2008 as the first release on Beato's Ten Star label. The Curse offers space age rock guitars and perfect in the pocket rhythm combined with Stanfill's falsetto and confident declarations of hope, joy and heartbreak. From a whisper of blue eyed soul in the opening track "Sundowner"' to the spirited conclusion of "The Runaround," the release is a documentation of emotion and perspectives. The Curse bleeds of anticipation - haunting and enthralling songs from resolved evangelists for words and music.
