Manakin are a four piece Indie Rock band. Fronted by singer
Shake who hails from Bahrain in the Middle East, the band are now
settled and based in London. Their new album is released in Europe
May 2008 with a limited 7" single promo out in April.

Skank Sinatra

Imagine the cool vocal stylings of Massive Attack meets Radiohead. Then add a rhythm section who between them have backed a range of artists from the Afro Celt Sound System to Eurythmics, from Dhol Foundation to Jimpster.

The electronica sound of Skank Sinatra covers a wide base from up tempo housey beats to ambient chill out. Yet it is uniquely none of these, as they push the boundaries further still with the improvisational freedom afforded by this hard hitting 4-piece.
