Hello Everyone! On here you will hear some samples of my work as a lead guitar player; some cover work from other bands to show my influences, and some of my very own to show where i have taken those influences. I hope this page will give you an idea of my ability and that it will help me get closer to the goals i want to reach as a musician. Hope you like what you hear. Im available for hire/session work, so if you are a serious musician/band with experience and want to work with me, just send me a line. ____________________________________________________________ __ A Little Info On Me: Im a self taught Lead guitarrist with thirteen years of live and studio experience, grew up listening to heavy metal. Started listening to bands such as Metallica (when they were a good), Ozzy Osbourne and Iron Maiden since the early age of six due to having an older brother that was very involved in the genre at the time. He'd show me videos of Steve Vai shredding, i was blown away! I started off by playing keyboards when i turned eight, i realized that i was able to figure out songs on my own just by listening to them. Couple of years later i had watched many videos where the guitarrists were amazing, i realized that it was time to get started on crafting that skill in a serious manner. I picked up the first guitar at age thirteen, borrowed that guitar for a whole year due to my family not believing i would be serious about guitar playing. It turned into a never ending passion. First time i hit the stage was six months into my playing (yes i played my first show with a guitar that wasn't even mine ) in front of over 200 people. Not bad for the first time. Since then, i started teaching myself a variety of songs, half with tablature and half by ear. After the first year i got my first guitar as a gift from my parents, an electric Yamaha with a floyd rose tremolo that really looked flashy and sounded the way i wanted it to, by that time i was already able to play a full iron maiden song (the trooper) with guitar solos included, along with many other songs that really gave me the credibility as a guitar player, and i was only able to do that through hard work and dedication, of course i failed that school year... my parents weren't very happy but i was shredding and it made me happier than getting the A+ on the report card heh. I kept on teaching myself some more shred tricks by watching videos from Paul Gilbert and Vinnie Moore, since then i have never been able to stop. I have played in different bands, a wide variety of styles ranging from shred oriented 80's Glam, Thrash, Death and Black Metal to Spanish rock/acoustic, Electronic and Industrial. In early 2000, i stared getting into Recording Engineering because i wanted to start recording my own music, i wanted to know how to get the "heavy" sounds that were such big part of my love for metal guitar work. Again i taught myself a lot of it, including drum and MIDI programming, it didnt make my guitar playing any better, but it definately made my musical ideas come to life. Shortly after that i knew that it was an important skill that i wanted to learn along with my guitar playing. Five years later i decided to attend Musician's Institute and i graduated as a Recording Engineer from there. I've been a guitar teacher for the past 4 years, and i love passing on the knowledge i have attained as a musician.I believed hard work and quality ALWAYS should come first in music. ____________________________________________________________ __ Main Musical Project: EPSILON ZERO :Lead Guitars And Backing Vocals.
