One would think simply his initials, but as you begin the journey of discovering, who is Justin Lanning, you will see JL has a much deeper meaning. Many words can be used when describing JL; Amazing, Faith, Light, Hope, Peace, Courage, Positive, Angel, Spiritual and Magical. One of the more prevalent meanings as he so fondly speaks of JL means Just Love. When asked to sum up his music in one word, it would be Love, which is something Justin so profoundly feels for his family, friends and fans. Justin was born November 28, 1985 in Los Angeles to George and Nansee Lanning, for whom he is extremely close to, and attended Beverly Hills High School. The oldest of three siblings, he has two sisters Alex and Skylar. He also has two dogs Spot and Vanilla. This multi-talented artist not only plays a variety of instruments that were self taught beginning at the age of 10; such as guitar, drums, piano, bass, percussion, harmonica and violin, he also writes his own songs, along with production work and owns his own record label, King George Records. His debut CD "Behind These Eyes" displays an array of fresh, emotional and passion filled songs based on his life experiences. From his debut hit single "Take My Breath Away" to the fun filled "Closer to You", for which he won on MTV's Score with Ryan Cabrera to "Waitin on You" a particularly sentimental track for which he produced, to the title track "Behind These Eyes" which engages in the cruel world many kids face in school. Although music is his first love, he has also been in numerous TV commercials and TV shows. Most recently as a murderer on "CSI: Las Vegas". They give viewers a look into his life and leave everyone eager to watch more.
