Mike LookinlandSYNOPSISThe Brady Bunch was one of the last of the all around fun shows full of well-kept kids, trivial adventures and hopelessly middle-class parents.The show consisted of a thrown-together family, formed by a widow with three daughters who married a widower with three sons. Alice was the nutty housekeeper who was also the acting referee and Tiger, the family dog. All of these smiling faces lived in a four-bedroom, two-bath house in the Los Angeles suburbs, from which Mike Brady pursued his career as a designer and architect.Typical stories usually revolved around one or more childs' daily lives including going steady, competition for the telephone (where, at one point, a payphone was installed!), family camping trips and all out war over who was going to use the bathroom! Numerous guest celebrities - like Davey Jones and Joe Namath, to name a couple - were on hand to aid the kids in whatever project or scheme they had cooked up.The kids ranged in age from 7 to 14 at the series' start, and the oldest son, Greg, soon became a real-life teen idol. Actor Barry Williams was receiving 6,500+ fan letters per week during 1971. He and most of the other cast kids tried to turn their TV success into successful recording careers in the early 1970's - but to no avail.Reruns of The Brady Bunch were aired as part of ABC's weekday daytime lineup from July 1973 to August 1975, and an animated spinoff titled The Brady Kids ran Saturday mornings on ABC from September 1972 until August 1974. It has continued to be a classic on TV and has spawned two movies: The Brady Bunch and A Very Brady Sequel, starring Shelley Long.CastMike Brady..... Robert ReedCarol Brady.....
