Some of my greatest influences are singer/songwriters including Lauryn Hill, D’Angelo, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, Smokey Robinson, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Antonio Carlos Jobim, George Duke, Chick Corea, and Rachelle Ferrell. I love the gospel greats such as Vanessa Bell Armstrong, the Clark Sisters, Shirley Caesar, and the Winans. Classical music has also had a very deep impact on my life. I love studying the music of J.S. Bach, Igor Stravinsky, Frederic Chopin, Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Aram Khachaturian, Vaughan Williams, Aaron Copland, and Leonard Bernstein.
