About Me
KARRAS, founded in December 2004, cover the musical grounds between Thrash/Death Metal and Hardcore. The band..s live debut was a support show for Hatesphere at the Knaack Club in Berlin in October 2005. KARRAS does not appeal to the typical metal clichÃ©s neither in terms of appearance nor musically. In September 2006 the band recorded their first album â€œThe Bright Side of Deathâ€ which was produced by Jacob Bredahl (Hatesphere) and released in May 2007 by Maintain Records. KARRAS shared the stage with international acts like Mnemic, Illdisposed, Madball, and Ignite as well as national acts like Crushing Caspars, Narziss, and Heaven Shall Burn. Wie ihre Homebase Berlin ist auch KARRAS ein Mix aus verschiedenen Kulturen. SÃ¤nger Devrim (ex-Disrespect/Devilinside) hat seine Wurzeln in der TÃ¼rkei, Gitarristin Ela (ex-Shred/Dresh-A-Peel) kam Ende der 80er Jahre aus Persien nach Berlin, Bassistin Corinna (ex-Acusado) ist halb Jordanierin und Drummerin Sabine (ex-Shred/Dresh-A-Peel) kommt ursprÃ¼nglich aus dem Ruhrgebiet. GegrÃ¼ndet im Dezember 2004, bewegen sich KARRAS musikalisch zwischen Thrash/Death-Metal und Hardcore. Ihren Debut-Gig spielten KARRAS im Oktober 2005 im Berliner Knaack-Club als Support von Hatesphere. Im Sommer 2006 nahm die Band ihr erstes Album â€žThe Bright Side Of Deathâ€œ auf, dass von Jacob Bredahl (Hatesphere) produziert und im Mai 2007 bei Maintain Records verÃ¶ffentlicht wurde.
