HAROLD HUNTER RIP- Harold Hunter was one of the most recognized personalities to roll through the streets of New York City. Having grown up in the Compost Housing Projects, Harold made his way through life on a skateboard. After years of receiving consistent coverage in all the major skateboard publications, he quickly became a household name, emerging as one of NYC's first professional skateboarders.In the early '90s Harold Hunter landed a lead role in the controversial film "Kids," (Larry Clark) in which he played a boisterous teenage skateboarder (not unlike himself). Thereafter he appeared in countless films, videos and magazines"Harold always was a true and multifaceted angel. Glowingly loving and present, he also hurt with his insatiable need for love. Unlike most of us, though, he transformed that need into generosity into a kindness that excluded no one. He brought many a person out of their shell, including me.
