| Biograghy Gianni L Mc Dowall, aka( Najah Judge Royal) was born on October 15 th - 1980 on the Dutch side of the island St.Maarten ,where he lived most of his life. His father is a talented master musician on the piano and is a great influence to Najah ’ s love for music. From ever since he was able to walk he can remember his father playing music at home especially reggae songsfrom the Bob Marley to Tosh ,G- Isaacs , Dennis B ,Grammacs and so on . At the age of 14 Najah started to Rap after listening to Hip Hop from different artists like K.R.S 1, Black Sheep,2 pac, Method man and so on . Then he teamed up with his cousin Zed I and two more members.One female Rapper Lovey and the Mix Master D.J Pauly ,the four together were called Funk Devils. They were considered the best on the island after they won First place in every competition for 4 years consistently. In ‘ 98 the group had change it ’ s name to Lirically Royal and is now a Rasta group with only two members. The music went from Rap to Reggea and Dancehall . In 2001 Najah went to Holland as a student and ended up not in school but on stage performing with sound system United Sound and with live band through Holland and Belgium . After being told about a specific recording studio several times ,one day Najah reached infront the door of the recording studio that he was being told about called Runn Records and there is where he made his first album intiteled “ Blessed ” released in 2005 in Holland . Unfortunately the Runn Rec. company had reported bankruptcy shortly before releasing Najah ’ s album. Therefore Najah became an independent Reggea Vocalist unsigned but still thankfull to have his first album . Today Najah is determined to make his music internationally known world wide . Najah ’ s music is Roots andCulture.He sings and chant with a strong voice , never the same, always new and creative ,up to this time . He is one of the biggest reggea artists known or unknown …… | |
