Mirko started his musical experience with the NO FUZZ band in the 1989. It was the Seattle sound period and his work draw inspiration from this sound but soon it gets an psychedelic imprinting. The Italian trend didn’t correspond to this kind of sonority. NO FUZZ produced two albums and a seven inch (one of this distributed by Contempo records, the Italian “PIXIES” label). The band had a restricted but enthusiastic and exclusive audience, Mirko pushed more and more for floydian sound that caused discussions and contrasts with the other members: the band broke off. Later, while Willy the drummer disappears because of important problems with the justice, Luca (voice) concludes his career with “HANK” band (drawing inspiration from KYUSS, SOUNDGARDEN), Pool the bass player joins THEE STP, street glam punk band still in activity, Mirko takes no more part in the musical scene and tries alternatives ways of living moving in a anarchist community. In this almost Mystic experience, Mirko, definitely founds his real soul: the psychedelic imprinting become his unique way to express himself. Mirko moved to Milan where founds new strength to start again his hallucinatory work. Gets some collaborations with several bands and musicians of the alternative Milan background and gradually grow up the THEE MIRK’O project, a container of ideas and hallucinations conveyed in music matured from Mirko itself and realized with sporadic collaborations of other musicians, especially for rare live performances. Mirko creates a sophisticated show with visionary sounds and visual projections that needs spaces and equipments hardly available. The opera has an hypnotic ethereal experimental hard impact particularly during the live show. CLAVICEPS PURPUREA OPERA is a claustrophobic and lysergic trip from an alterated state of mind. The album get published on march 2008 by the indi label Bigmud and contains three long tracks subdivided in several chapters. The influences are tangible: SYD BARRETT, FAUST, AMON DULL II, SOFT MACHINE, PINK FLOYD (ummagumma) who especially seems to haunt Mirko. ************************* | |
