Rat City Rollergirls Official Website The Rat City Rollergirls, LLC, (RCRG) is Seattle, WA’s first and only all female roller derby league. Named after an “old-school” term for the south part of town, RCRG was established via a grassroots movement of strong-minded women in April 2004. The league is comprised of about 70+ member/owners and includes five teams: the All Star Travel Team, Derby Liberation Front, Grave Danger, Throttle Rockets, and the 2006 Season Champions, the Sockit Wenches. Our teams participate in competitive roller derby bouts on a flat track in an amateur athletic season that lasts from March through October. Our mission is to provide recreational amateur athletic entertainment that improves member’s individual athletic ability, self-discipline and character while promoting the sport of roller derby. Our program provides regular supervised training, instruction, and competition to preparing our members to represent Seattle at national and international competition. We are dedicated to providing community outreach through events, activities, and charity sponsorship. We are also advocates for similar roller derby leagues to encourage the art and sport of roller derby nationally and internationally. Punchin' Judy from DLF and Edie Brickwall from Grave Danger are Rat City Rollergirls of the month for MAY! Congratulations Edie & Judy! YEA! ABOUT JUDY _ FROM FOXY THROWDOWNJudy! Duh! How hard has she worked to fill our season with some kick assteams for all of us to play? How passionate is she about getting us toplay teams in the top 13 of WFTDA and hoping we 'approve' of who we'replaying. How hard did she work for RR and does she work just in general with allof the Interleague hecticness. Yay Punchin Judy! ABOUT EDIE - FROM BILLIE BOILERMAKERBrickwall is aces! She gets more done if 5 minutes then I can all day.She always completes her projects, she's organized, sharp, clear,decisive, and that's just the tip of the iceberg! I swear she must under report her hours, she's that humble. AND, thegirl is at like every practice. Where does she find the time??? Her list of accomplishments must be a mile long. I would love to see herderby resume! |
