| Music started for me with classical voice and piano. I went on to major in music and attended conservatories all in preparation for performing in NYC in musical theater/light opera. I toured with numerous musicals and have performed both off-broadway and in TV and Film as a singer, dancer, actress as well as stunt person - (Guess this is a good time to mention...my "other" life is that of a stunt person for Film and TV : ) Soon after, however, I moved away from musical theater and began writing ~ My influences have in included artists, songwriters and performers such as Mary Chapin Carpenter, Wynonna Judd, Bonnie Rait, Don Henley,Paul Simon, Randy Newman, Beth Nielson-Chapman, Rascall Flats, Bird York, Anna Naylick, Sarah McGlaughlin, Bill Whithers, Maria McKee, Eva Cassidy,Chopin, Beethoven, Shakespeare,Mozart, Emerson, Yates ~ to name a few : ) I now live in NYC and am working of my first album. (In the meanwhile, the tracks posted are rough versions of some of my tunes). I also write music for Film and TV under the Publishing Company "Roaming Gnome Music". Performances have included (NYC) CBGB'S, The Orange Bear, Tobacco Road, The "C" Note, DTUT, and (DC/Va) Staccatto Bar and Lounge, Whitlows On Wilson, Iota Club and Bar... Currently I am absorbing with every cell in my body the phenomenal experience of playing underground in the NYC Subways... It's a phenomenal journey! ~ there are some things that count, that can't be counted ~ and there are some things that can be counted, that don't count ~ | |
