New Blood formed in late 2005. Recorded our first demo with Brag Productions in January 2006 which followed up with a few shows based in Sydney and Wollongong, as our first show being at Wollongong youth centre on the 23rd of Febuary and or second at North Richmond youth project. On July 27th 2006 New Blood released their first EP titled "Ancient Hallway" through Dark Productions, bands that played at the EP release show were Mary Jane Kelly, Never See Tomorrow and Sinasizem. The EP featured 6 of their most brutal songs at the time also followed with a few more shows in the Sydney and Wollongong area. Around September and October 2006 New Blood was noticed by the lads from Grindhead Records and were offered to do a release with the Sydney, Australian based record label, New Blood didn't even wait for the thinking music as they have always been aware of Grindhead Records reputation and range of good brutal bands already signed to the label. Mid 2007 New Blood began to record a second EP, as this one had better songs then the other EP Ancient Hallway, the new EP is called Paradise Distegrates and is set to be released on Grindhead Records, after the recording was finished, 2 year drummer for the band Adam threw in the towl and gave up drumming, but local drummer Brendan Caufield jumped in straight away and made a great impression on the New Blood lads (fast and brutal drumming). New Blood is now writting new music, 3 songs have been written and they are more technical then their last efforts, now sounding similar to Decripit Birth, Hate Eternal and Beneath the Masacre. Demos should be up mid 2008. |
