Music:Member Since: 11/16/2007Band Website: robeberhardyoung.com Band Members: Kip Winger, Rod Morgenstein, Michael Manring, Chris Botti, Alan Pasqua, Andy Snitzer, Joel Derouin, Robbie Rothchild, Marc Clark, Greta Rose, Influences: Anything deep, genuine, and imaginative. Sounds Like: I have never tried to emulate anyone and instead continue on a never ending quest to develop my own voice as a composer and guitar player. Those are of course two very different things. However, if comparisons must be drawn to others, my sound has been associated with many musicians that I have learned from over the years - many of whom I have had the gift of playing and performing with as well. Maybe the list would be better stated as a list of those who continue to inspire me? Of course the list is pretty varied since I have written and played in such a variety of styles over the years. You may also notice that many of them are not guitar players. Suffice it to say though that to be compared to any of these people is always very flattering when it happens as I hold them all in the highest regard as artists and many as friends as well. The names that consistently come to mind are Peter Gabriel, George Winston, Michael Hedges, Sting and The Police, Will Ackerman, Kip Winger, Jason Becker, David Gilmore and Pink Floyd, Tuck Andress, Steve Lukather and Toto, Michael Gulezian, George Lynch, Chick Corea, Lindsey Buckingham and Fleetwood Mac, Tori Amos, Michael Manring, and probably a few more I can't think of at the moment...
