| PopROCKS is an exciting 6 piece band from the Minneapolis/St.Paul area that plays the BIGGEST ROCK HITS in music history!! What can you expect at a PopROCKS show?... High Energy Party Rock'n'Roll made to fill the dance floor!PopRocks has been entertaining Midwest audiences since 2006 and is regularly featured in many of the top Twin Cities clubs: Bogarts, Hopkins Mainstreet, Throwbacks, The Fine Line to name just a few. They are also feature entertainment at corporate parties and special events/weddings including affiliations with Treasure Island Casino and the Minnesota Wild. Catch them this summer at local city/county festivals like Gaylord MN, Hayward WI, Bloomington MN and the Minnesota State fair!
PopROCKS has also made appearances on the WCCO "Saturday Morning" TV program and the Dark Star radio show, as well as FOX 9 and KARE 11 news. From classic tunes by Bon Jovi, Blondie, Def Leppard, Prince and Journey to more recent jams from Green Day, Lit, The Killers and Maroon 5, PopROCKS plays the BIGGEST PopRock HITS in Music History..... LIVE!!!! ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------ 5/10/2008 It is with a heavy heart we announce that Mandy has decided to leave PopRocks. She has chosen to pursue some other opportunities with local artists as well as doing her own original music. She was a valuable member of the band and we would not be where we are without her and wish her nothing but great success! You can see what she is up to on her myspace profile . With that said, as one door closes, another opens and we are excited to introduce the newest addition to Pop Rocks, Shena Ray. Music:Member Since: 11/16/2007Band Website: poprocksrocks.com Band Members: Jason "Buzz" Swanson, on bass and vocals, currently does double duty playing in PopROCKS and original funk/jazz quartet, Chill7. Kirk Stallings has played and toured with numerous bands ranging in styles from hard rock and Top-40 to funk and disco, including some big-name Nashville country artists since he was a teenager in the 80's. Guitarist Dave Sinner was signed to Warner Bros records in the 90’s with an adult contemporary band out of Minneapolis called The Bro-Jo’s. Marc Kass, keyboards, performs nationally with cover band Bad Habits including a regular gig at the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. On vocals and guitar, frontman Chad Ryan is a former MCA recording artist as well as one of the original members of the disco band Boogie Wonderland. Sounds Like: Pop Rocks! Nov.
