Contact & Booking The Blackberries Are Growing and Thriving It's not easy to write an original and interesting band biography especially when the band hasn't been around for that long. The band have not yet had time for lawsuits, scandals, drug busts and a variety of other rock and roll cliches. So, we will have to stick to the facts... The Blackberries were founded in Solingen, Germany at the end of 2007 by guitarist/singer Julian and drummer Jason. After a short but challenging search two new Blackberries were added in the form of bassist Judas and a second guitarist, Jonas. The songs, all written by Julian in collaboration with friends and other band members, display a huge variety of influences. This variety of influences, however, have not prevented the band from developing their own unmistakeable style. The Beatles' willingness to experiment, the Hollies' craft at harmony and melody, the country rock of Ryan Adams and the raw wildness of the early Who have all been combined to forge their sound. With an eye to the masters of the past and of the present, The Blackberries are making music that is at once familiar and unlike anything you have heard before. You certainly won't hear anything else as original as The Blackberries playing on your radio. The Blackberries are growing and thriving... listen to them! ---Jürgen Blondberry ;-) |
