| I was raised in Michigan. I have such a caring and loving family. They have always stuck by my side. My Mom and Dad both raised me. I have 2 half sisters, and 2 step brothers. My other sister and brother came from the same Mother & Father as me. So anyway, I could say so much more.
I want to talk about my deep passion for singing.
I have a story to tell. I was about 2 years old, riding in the back seat of my Grandmother's car. She started singing. I said to her Grandma, please don't sing! She admits she is not a singer. She knew right then and there I was going to become a singer. I get a kick out of this story!
I basically started singing along to cassette tapes. At that time my favorite Artist to sing along with, was Tiffany! I can faintly remember what the cassette cover looked like, and her poster. I got use out of my little pink boom box, with a strap on it! It was too cool! I even started writing lyrics at a young age. I would always sing along to the music when I was in a vehicle going on a vacation with family, or just around the local area. Ok, I even sing in my car today!
When I was in 5th or 6th grade, I was in a talent show. My Mom helped prepare me for it, Vocally. I had a great coach! She is a singer, songwriter, and plays guitar. She taught me to just let go and belt it out! Oh, and I sure did! I chose the song, somewhere out there. I got a really good response afterwards.
Let's talk about kereoke! I've been doing it on and off for about a good 10 years. I entered a few contests as well.
I was in band from 5th grade until 11th grade, and choir in 9th grade. I have done a few side projects too. So as you can see, I have been musically involved for a while now. I also took an interest in playing acoustic guitar. I was influenced through my Mother. I wrote a few songs on the guitar, that's about as far as I got on that.
I have always been a singer. I believe God wants me to sing, and just sing! He is telling me, put all that other stuff away! I never stopped pursuing my passion. Here I am today, with our band Liquid Motor Commission. I am having the time of my life! I wouldn't want it any other way!
