After the first demo recorded in 2004 called "Unforeseen events", an important step for the band’s growth, that got the guys on the most important Italian stages (Rainbow Club, Transilvania Live, Sottosopra, Keller ) and some European stages, like Mochvara Zagreb Festival (Croatia), now Sown are on the second step of their story with "Downside", the first official album. A great album for all lovers of modern metal evolution. Available in Italy since 2007 on Fuel Records, the brave label has been a promoter of genuine italian underground bands such as Dark Lunacy & Infernal Poetry. Distributed by SELF, the most important independent Italian distributer. Now Downside" is available all over Europe through FRONTIERS, the most important Italian metal melodic label. Specialized magazines have been defined SOWN’s concerts like: -Fifty minutes of “ Reasoned Violence”. Critics compared Sown to Bullet For My Valentine, Amercian Head Charge, DevilDriver, ingnite, but also to the “classics” Ektomorf, Earthtone9, Mudvayne...these conflicting ideas mean an interesting varied personality be found in this album “Downside”. Out of all the tracks, we would like to recommend: Sweet smiling stars, Seven , Crawling at the bottom and Hoggish. Besides these, the track Suicide Note PT.1, is a heart felt tribute to Dimebag Darrell. A very important SOWN goal, at the end of the 2006, was a survey made by Rock Sound Magazine, where SOWN was considered one of the 10 best discoveries of the year.
