About Me

What are you supposed to say in these things? Here is my life, my being, and everything that you could possibly want to know about me, carefully summarised in a paragraph??? Surely not. Anyway, what's to stop me from creating a false impression? I could just tell you that I enjoy writing sonnets by candlelight, that I'm a lion tamer who divides his time fairly evenly between climbing mountain peaks and studying astrophysics...But none of that would be true! I'd just be this broadly drawn character of vague interest, like a dimly lit movie that you think you might have seen before. Except I am a lion tamer.

However, I digress. If I were to choose one word to characterise myself, it would have to be 'Quixotic'. The best way I can describe it is acting with the desire to do noble and romantic deeds, without thought of realism and practicality. I think this will give you a very good idea of how I live my life. I find that I have big ideals and plans...but am no closer to any of them than I am to walking on the moon.

Also, when I use the word 'romantic' I'm referring to it in the classical sense, as in pertaining to acts or thoughts of romantic intent, for example: speaking nothing but the truth, believing in the basic goodness of people, hoping to make a difference, searching for true happiness, etc.

That's not to say, however, that I'm not the walking cliché that being a 'Romantic' implies; I stand when a lady enters the room, am touched by sentimental gestures more than flashy presents, and truly believe that love is the most important part of the human existence. I just find that I apply those values outside the boundaries of dating and relationships.

Here is a list of my favourite things ever, in no particular order:

+ Beards
+ Thor
+ Russell Allen
+ Acting
+ The Evil Dead Movies
+ The Punisher
+ All books by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.
+ Joss Wheadon
+ Bourbon
+ Rush
+ Oscar Wilde
+ Cooking
+ Pirates
+ Humour
+ Woody Allen
+ Dr Doom
+ Elliott Smith
+ Bruce Campbell
+ Bass

If you like some, or all of these things, chances are we'll get along famously.

You are Dr. Doom Dr. Doom 100% Apocalypse 95% Juggernaut 84% Magneto 83% Venom 64% Green Goblin 60% Kingpin 54% Dark Phoenix 50% Mystique 12% Blessed with smarts and power but burdened by being so incredibly awesome that you're better than everyone.

I guess, the only way that we're ever going to know anything about each other is if you message me, I'd love to hear from you...whoever you are
