| not quite sure what to say here, but i'll give it a go anyway!! hehe...moved to Birmingham in the west midlands, from London, aged at just 10. the first big rave event i attended, was called Dreamscape-i went with 3 people (Nighttrate, Liza and Vicky), now, for me Dj SS stole the show that night and really inspired me and Nighttrate, i dare say..... this was the night that made me want to become a d.j!!!after telling Stevie kc about this night, it was a bit like the film 'Kevin and Perry', but not too similar lol... imn the way that Stevie, became D.j Stevie KC and i decided on the name Lipbass!!
Well, i used to beat box and thought that this name would be original-if nothing else-and, still to this day people still ask me, what does Lipbass mean?i started to learn how to mix from a friend-Nicky B...He plays regularly at 'House of God' in Birmingham-he plays Acid house, trance and produces!!!! anyway, one day, he came round to my Mum's place in Moseley, and taught me what he could-mentioned the producing aspect of ways to express creative desires....still with me? lol. then really, it just went on from there......we played at parties-some legal and well, some not so legal.....i had a lot of help from people like Mc Time, Nighttrate, Mc Starz and Stevie kc, amongst others.....played at some respecful bars, bunkers, clubs, pubs, college events, houses/flats/gardens, warehouses etc......well, Birmingham and its habitants were fantastic for me and i'll never forget. of course, i studied there too. Completing a 2yr HND in Sound Engineering at Sandwell College. i've now been producing tracks for about 6 years but feel with every track there is an improvement-or i learn something new and exciting.Being back in London has been very good though. i'm now a resident d.j on WWW.UKflOw.Tv, where i play a set on Sundays from 6-8pm (gmt). playing on such a station has openend up other doors-like d.jing in Prague, a few venues here and there in London and i've finally met dj Randall and Fabio-yipee!!!! Music:Member Since: 26/11/2007Band Website: Influences: well, i got into music, through my parents and other members of my family. both my mother and uncle were in bands which were based in birmingham!!!!my dad continues to listen to reggae flavours, while my other uncle is a d.j-did i really have choice?? lolin terms of artists, i'd have to say there are really to many to mention!!! but, i'll try- d.j's, randall, ltj bukem, hype, mickey finn, grooverider and kenny ken......bands and solo artists include shai, timberland, nelly fuetado, lora jayne, kate nash, snoop dog, pram, pcm and many many more varied artists!!!!
