| Ignazio di Salvo nasce il 10/12/85 ad Agrigento, città della Sicilia.La sua storia musicale inizia all’età di sette anni. Figlio d’arte, viene infatti avviato allo studio del pianoforte dalla madre, ma solamente qualche anno dopo verrà incoraggiato allo studio della chitarra classica sotto la guida del M° Francesco Buzzurro. A dodici anni nasce la passione per il rock e la musica moderna. Inizierà così un percorso di studi chitarristici in ambito Rock-Fusion sotto la guida di Andrea Quartarone alla Guitar Academy di Catania, percorso che lo porterà, anni dopo, ad essere scelto tra i migliori allievi dell’accademia per partecipare al secondo disco della Guitar Academy d’imminente uscita, nel quale interpreterà un brano di C. Corea. Conseguiti la Licenza di Teoria e Solfeggio ed il Quinto anno di Conservatorio come privatista, prende parte, ai Seminari Senesi di musica Jazz studiando con T .Lama(chitarra), S. Zenni(teoria ed analisi), P. Tonolo(ear training), F. Petreni(musica d’insieme). Da qui la sua passione per il jazz diverrà sempre più evidente. A quattordici anni incide il suo primo demo rock con la band “Apeiron” partecipando in seguito a numerose manifestazioni ed eventi musicali tra i quali Sanremo Rock. L’anno successivo incide un secondo demo con la band progressive-rock “Entropia” .Ma sarà il suo primo demo strumentale “Where do the thoughts come from?”, composto a 16-17 anni, che gli farà conquistare il titolo di giovanissimo talento e futura promessa chitarristica italiana.Recensita infatti dalle riviste e webzines del settore (Metal Shock, Chitarre, Raw&Wild, Rockeggiando.it … ), ed ascoltata da molti “addetti ai lavori”, la lunga composizione di quasi quaranta minuti nella quale suona tutti gli strumenti, mette in luce l’estro e la versatilità del chitarrista, che alterna momenti musicali e stili differenti permeati comunque da una forte matrice prog-rock .Ha svolto inoltre due anni di attività live con la funk-acidjazz band “Free Sound”, attiva nei locali siciliani e non solo con la quale ha preso parte al musicol “Greese” rappresentato durante il “Global Education Festival” nel teatro Ariston di Sanremo.Ha preso parte ai seminari di J. Batten, Steve Trovato, Richard Smith, Walter Donatiello.
Trasferitosi a Milano dopo la maturità scientifica, avrà la possibilità di studiare al CEMM di Bussero con Andrea Vendramin e Walter Donatiello, che gli forniranno solide basi jazzistiche per i suoi sviluppi futuri.
Laureando in Economia Aziendale presso l’Università “Bocconi” di Milano, è stato selezionato dall’associazione “Musica in Bocconi” per far parte della “Bocconi Jazz Venture” quintetto jazz studentesco che si esibisce periodicamente durante i più importanti eventi universitari.
Sta attualmente perfezionandosi presso i "Civici Corsi di Jazz" dell’Accademia Internazionale della Musica di Milano.Ignazio di Salvo was born om the 10-12-1985 in Agrigento, a small city on the island of Sicily. He started playing guitar at the age of seven year old. He had originally begun playing Piano with the help of his mother. The after a few years he took up classical guitar under the guidance of Francisco Buzzurro. He first discovered rock music when he was twelve years old. At this point he took lesson in Rock-Fusion with Andrea Quartarone at the Guitar Academy of Catania. He was chosen ads one of the best students to record a CD for the Guitar Academy where he is playing a cover of a Chic Corea track. He has also attended lessons by Jennifer. Batten, Steve Trovato, Richard Smith, Walter Donatiello.. He then took private Jazz music at “Siena Jazz” lessons with T. Lama (guitar), S. Zenni (theory and analysis), P. Tonolo (ear training), F. Petreni (entirety music) and from these lessons his passion for the jazz grew.At the age of fourteen he recorded his first demo with the band "the Apeiron" participating in numerous live shows . The following year he recorded his second demo with band progressive-rock "the Entropy". He also compiled his first instrumental demo entitled "Where I give the thoughts like from? " when he was sixteen or seventeen years old. THe release got picked up in fanzines and webzines like Metal Shock, Guitars, Raw and Wild, Rockeggiando.it and Truthinshredding. The composition is long, nearly forty minutes in duration.He become a young musical talent and a promise for the italian rock guitar.Over the last two Ignazio has worked with a funk-acidjazz band called "the Free Sound". He then moved to Milan to get the possibility to study at CEMM with jazz players Andrea Vendramin and Walter Donatiello. Currently he is in his third year of studies in Business Economics and perfectioning himself at the jazz course in “International Music Academy” in Milan.
