With its classical lucidity, technical flawlessness and perfect runs, his playing increases to a vertiginous intoxication of guitaristic virtuosity - "while still having a poetic content. Markus Stockhausen is different: On his instruments he always looks for the unusual (without penetrating the experimental fields of noise). His melodies often take leaps and seem to be based rather on exploring the intervals than an inner feel. Yet Stockhausen masters also the conventional playing in jazz scales. So two totally different musicians came to an artistic consense.
