| The Forcipe project was born in 2007 from the mind of DJ / Music Selector Bernardo Graziano. The aim of the ambitious project is to combine shapes, styles and different product types passing through the three major phases of dance music: disco / house (late '80), Techno (early '90) and Electro / House (late '90); developing projects that do not follow a single style. In the continuous search and "melting pot" references and quotes of various types include: Jazz of Miles Davis and John Coltrane in "In the Mood for Love" (unreleased), all'Electro-Ambient and New Wave of Biosphere and in Loscil "Deep tuning on frequncies Am", "Compulsive" (Deepology rec.),"Space Traveller" (Malatoid rec.), Techno Detroit late'80s by Juan Atkins and Derrick May in "Pluto" and "Wehrmacht" ( Nearly Rec.), "Ciclosporine" (Tracks4dj rec.), Disco / House late'80s in "Jumping in the 80's" (Colombian Rec.) All 90s House Music in "Destroying House Music" ( unreleased), all 'Electro-Funk/Electro-Boogie in "The Teacher of Funk."The voice samples therefore recall and relate to old songs and music; in particular in the "Destroying House Music" project (unreleased) the voice samples are dominant references and evocative quotations and also object manipulation of rhythmic minimal adaptation, starting point for designing the track, but they are also the inspiration for the handling, disintegration and dissolution of the style and of it's original form.The continuing confrontation with the house music does not make the Forcipe project immune to the recent electronic minimal waves, whose influence is evident in productions such as "Music Box" and "Good Love" (unreleased) in which the rhythmic minimal is mixed with the Pad, voice samples and carpet characteristic of the Deep House; it is precisely this minimal-deep house combination that allows the passing, but not the overtaking, of the minimal phenomenon in the direction of soft, calm and melodic.Through a broad background and a large and varied collection of different musical formats, the Forcipe project tryes to ultimately filter and simultaneously merge trends and different styles with the specific purpose of contrasting emotions and feelings of two decades of successful dance music: 1987-19997 and 1997-2007. The lack of a precise style, non-adherence to specific royalties and trends, research and matching of different sounds are therefore the strength and originality of the Forcipe project. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- Il progetto Forcipe nasce nell'estate 2007 dalla mente del Dj/Music Selector Bernardo Graziano. Lo scopo ambizioso del progetto è quello di congiungere forme,stili e generi diversi attraversando le tre principali fasi della musica dance: la disco/house (fine '80), Techno (inizio '90) ed Electro/House (fine '90); realizzando di fatto progetti non riconducibili e relegabili ad un unico filone musicale. Nella continua ricerca e "melting pot" di generi e stili si annoverano citazioni e richiami al Jazz di Miles Davis e John Coltrane in "In the mood for love" (unreleased), all'Electro-Ambient e New Wave di Biosphere e Loscil in "Deep tuning on Am frequncies" e "Compulsive" (Deepology rec.) e "Space Traveller" (Malatoid rec.), alla Techno Detroit di fine anni '80 di Juan Atkins e Derrick May in "Plutone" e "Wehrmacht" (Nearly Rec.) e "Ciclosporine" (Tracks4dj rec.), alla Disco/House di fine anni '80 in " Jumping in the 80's" (Colombian Rec.), all'House Music anni '90 in "Destroying House Music" (unreleased), all’ Electro-Funk/Electro-Boogie in “The Teacher of Funk”. I samples vocali conferiscono un'imprescindibile connotazione evocativa ai progetti con predominante Deep; particolare è il progetto "Destroying House Music" (unreleased) i cui samples vocali sono riferimenti-citazioni evocativi dominanti e nel contempo oggetto di manipolazione per adattamento alla ritmica minimale, il punto di partenza per l’ideazione della traccia, ma anche lo spunto per la manipolazione,disgregazione e dissoluzione dello stile e della forma originaria. Il continuo confronto con l'house music non rende il progetto Forcipe immune dalla recente .. elettronica minimale, la cui influenza è evidente nelle produzioni "Music Box" e "Good Love" (unreleased) in cui la ritmica minimale si mescola ai Pad,samples vocali e tappeti caratteristici del genere Deep House; è proprio questo connubio minimal-deep house che consente l'attraversamento, ma non il superamento, del fenomeno minimale nella direzione del morbido, pacato e melodico. Attraverso un background ampio ed una nutrita e variegata collezione musicale di diverso formato, il progetto Forcipe tenta in ultima istanza di filtrare ed al tempo stesso fondere tendenze e stili diversi con il preciso scopo di contrapporre le emozioni e le sensazioni dei due decenni significativi della dance music: il decennio 1987-19997 ed il 1997-2007.
