| Through different faiths, philosophies or schools of thought, some of you may already be familiar with the meaning of the word Sirr. However for those who have not been directly exposed to its origins, a brief introduction is necessary before the next step of this journey. Sirr, according to Sufi ideology, refers to things that are mysterious, 'a secret', and in Sufi symbolism, it is the centre of consciousness. By connecting to this feature of our soul, we are able to achieve union with our spiritual self in order to better understand concealed aspects of our being, the people around us and the purpose of our existence. | |
