Kostas New Progrram is one of the most unique bands on Polish independent music scene; it is a continuation of a legendary alternative group Progrram.

This interesting project contains rock and avant-garde musicians from different environments: Progrram, Pulsarus and Homo Twist, and from the other side such famous figures of Polish jazz as: Alek Korecki and Bronek Duzy. It all gives an unexpected result — a fusion of avant-garde, rock and jazz tunes.

This fall’s tour and a record End And Pleasure is a premiere of Kostas New Progrram project. The Progrram’s record, Autumn: how to use brain to find inner M from December 2005 is one of the most interesting publications on Polish alternative scene of last few years!

Kostas Georgakopulos, leader of the group and a head of the label Tone Industria, has decided to make some changes in a formula of the band: its composition, conception and name. It all makes this project more jazz sounding than before. The mixture of the artists is now very intriguing — classic jazz experiences together with rock and avant-garde sounds. This gives a very unique result, never heard before on Polish music scene.

Record And End Pleasure gives us modern, contemporary tunes, full of emotions; it’s incredible fusion of jazz, avant-garde and improvised music. Great wind instruments unit performed often in counterpoint with guitar and drums units is a big advantage of this band; the way the vocal is created gives us also unusual experience. We can hear a very brave combination of contemporary formal and sound arrangements with classical wind instruments units. It is a long awaited record that brings a sensational stuff.

October 2008 is a release date of second Kostas New Progrram record FOOODD, which was recorded with a new member, guitarist Maciej Miechowicz (Neuma, Kobong) and with guest appearance of Hoppy Kamiyama and Franz Hautzinger.
