| I started playing the guitar as a teenager. Rock in general was a big part of my musical diet early on. That was the kind of music that left the most lasting impression and woke me up. Over the years I've studied and drew influence from many different styles and genres; blues, jazz, latin, country, classical etc. An improviser by nature I fuel my fire by balancing composing and playing by moments notice. When it comes to improvisation, my vocabulary on the instrument is a mixture of blues, rock, country, jazz and classical. From those ingredients I try to make the most personal and fitting statement at any given musical setting. Life is music. In 2005 I graduated as a Pop/Jazz music pedagogue from Helsinki Polytechnic Stadia. Currently I'm teaching the guitar in Helsinki and rehearsing with my band.Aloitin kitaran soittamisen teini-ikäisenä. Yleisesti ottaen rock oli iso osa musiikin kuuntelua. Se herätti ja jätti pysyvimmän vaikutelman. Vuosien varrella olen opiskellut ja ottanut vaikutteita useista tyyleistä; bluesista, jazzista, latin-musiikista, kantrista, klassisesta jne. Olen luonteeltani improvisoija mutta minulle on tärkeää ennalta sävelletyn ja hetkessä tuotetun tasapaino. Improvisoidessani ammennan bluesin, rockin, kantrin, jazzin ja klassisen musiikillisista sanavarastoista. Elämä on musiikkia. Vuonna 2005 valmistuin Helsingin Ammattikorkeakoulu Stadiasta Pop/Jazz musiikkipedagogiksi. Opetan kitaransoittoa Helsingissä ja treenaan bändin kanssa. | |
