Music:“Video Killed The Radio Star – The Buggles” That is the oldest song I can remember! 60’s music from the ‘Stones to the Kinks. 70’s music from Zep’ to that Donna Summer: I Feel Love track in American Discotheques. 80’s Electro on Moog’s to the Best Electro of 2008 on digital mixers and CuBase version 76.4! 90’s tunes from the King and Queen of Pop, Grunge music from Nirvana through the ranges of Metallica, Ozzy, the Red Hot Chili Peppers before they got boring, the almighty release of Trent Reznor’s incarnation doing The Downward Spiral, my all-time favourite and Metallica’s Load album which is historical and massively underated and to which I confess I probably know all the lyrics too. Old Skool Trance from Oakenfold on the resident’s bench at Cream, travelling to the superclub of the land in Sheffield and the MYNC boys bouncin’ us about in the RedRoom @ Passion in the Emporium. Listening to the best Drum & Bass, the best Healing, the best Tech Noir, the best Vocal House, the best Breaks, the best Funky Electro, the best Acoustic, the best Industrial and the best Rock. I like random, twisty stories which haven’t really been done before and the moralistic stories that touch the soul to mindless violence and dog killing. Heroes:The best hero, the worst hero, the winner, the loser and the man in between trying to do the right thing. Christian from Nip/Tuck, Sing from Kung Fu Hustle, Jim Carrey in ESOTSM, The Dude in The Big Lebowski, Keyser Soze in The Usual Suspects, Pete Doherty of the Libertines but not his antics, his lyrics are really good but his addictive personality will be a downfall. James Hetfield is a role model indeed. Fictional or unreal in a way. And on a more realistic approach, Sir Ranalph Fiennes for defeating obstacles, challenging monsters and over-coming them with bravery, courage and severe stubborness. |
